Kristin Diamond is the founder of Diamond Legal Group, whose practice focuses on the law of business organizations, ranging from commercial transactions, day-to-day operational logistics and internal and external compliance matters. Ms. Diamond has counseled early stage companies, family businesses and represented fortune 500 clients in billion dollar transactions. Ms. Diamond has represented clients in the computer software & hardware, internet, renewable energy, sports management, transportation and cable television industries in a wide variety of commercial matters. She has acted as counsel for artists, athletes, directors, producers, and others in the sports and entertainment fields.Ms. Diamond has also represented academic institutions in technology transfer and regulatory compliance matters, including policy development and interactions with state and federal agencies. Ms. Diamond has extensive experience in technology auditing, having handled a wide variety of audit matters with large and small software vendors.
Ms. Diamond received her bachelor's degree the University of Wisconsin - Madison, and her J.D. degree from the University of California, Hastings College of Law, where she was the recipient of a Dean’s Academic Scholarship, a Technical Editor for the Hastings Constitutional Law Quarterly, a Coach for the Giles Sutherland Rich Intellectual Property Moot Court Competition, and a Teaching Assistant for Legal Research & Writing.
Before opening her own law office, Ms. Diamond practiced law for almost twenty years in Silicon Valley and on Colorado’s Front Range for a variety of large and small public and private companies. She has served as general counsel for three publicly-traded companies and spent over four years as the lead attorney for the University of Colorado’s Technology Transfer Office, licensing technology to more than 50 start-up companies.
Complementing her commercial practice and academic teaching schedule, Ms. Diamond is also a frequent speaker about legal issues at educational, community and continuing legal education events.
